Foxton is inspiring to me as a writer and inspiring to his fellow artists for his passion as a painter.

About
Currently based in San Francisco, American figurative painter Nathan Alexander Foxton grew up speaking German in the home of Canadian and European immigrants.
Foxton uses acrylic and oil paint to make images that combine observation and subconscious conjurings, the liminal in between. He’s interested in how we can adopt beliefs through the images of art history and contemporary culture, while simultaneously suspending and questioning those beliefs through paint.
In 2014 he received his MFA in Painting from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Most recently he’s been engaged in the illumination of queer histories, notably through the Wylie House Museum, Christian Theological Seminary, and by supporting non-profits that provide housing and other critical services for LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
